Our Story

Since leaving Colombia, we’ve always longed for the flavors, colors, and aromas that define our beautiful, multicultural, and diverse home. Coffee became the bridge back to those memories — a drink that carries the essence of Colombia in every sip. Each time we share it with the world, people discover not only the taste but also the love and culture that Colombia means to us.

In 2025, we set out to build Mijito to showcase some of the best coffees in the world — and above all, to honor Colombian coffee as we know it from our families and our abuelitas. The name Mijito comes from the affectionate nickname that founder Julián Urbina’s grandmother used for his grandfather, a man who taught his 13 children that family always comes first. For us, coffee is more than a drink — it is a way to share our roots, our stories, and the warmth of Colombia with you.
